Train-the-Trainer Toolkit
The main components of the Train-the-Trainer Toolkit are provided below and provide a gradual introduction to the Cyanotypes Framework. Of course not everything will be relevant in your piloting context.
The Toolkit consists of 4 pillars where you can find supporting components.
A short introduction to the Toolkit is available.
You can also download a Starter Pack with some key components.
In this section you will find background materials about the skills landscape. For example, the Playbook (T1.3) sets out the approach taken. The Briefings (T1.4) provide background information on key skills-related topics. The Guidebooks (T1.6) provide detailed information about the framework and all the competences. The Scenarios (T1.7) draw a picture of the many ways you can deploy the Framework in your pilots.
In this section, there is a detailed guide to Running a Pilot (T2.6), some insight into considering urgent and future skills (T2.3), considering micro-credentials )T2.5) and establishing local skills partnerships (T2.0).
In this section there is practical support for using the Cyanotypes Framework, such as card decks for workshops (T3.1), Guidelines for work-based learning approaches (T3.3), co-creating learning materials (T3.9), a Communications Package (T3.11) and a Self-Assessment Tool (T3.13).
In this section you will find a guide to shaping outcomes and impact (T4.0), support for Quality Assurance (T4.1) and tools for gathering feedback (T4.2).
Further Support
Blueprinter
The Cyanotypes Blueprinter is intended for use as a complementary member of your team. The Blueprinter can provide support in many different ways, from exploring the Cyanotypes Framework, to aligning your organisational strategy and locating urgent and future skills needs, to preparing recruitment texts for new employees.
A guide to using the Blueprinter is available.
Learning Plans
We have developed Learning Plans for each of the 25 competences. These documents serve as practical tools to support trainers in designing and delivering effective training sessions based on the CYANOTYPES Framework.
Each learning plan is carefully structured to unpack competences and provide a clear, actionable pathway for learners to develop crucial skills.
The learning plans serve as a bridge between the theoretical competence descriptions and their practical application in training environments. They provide a structured approach to ensuring that learners engage with core concepts, methods, and reflective exercises to deepen their understanding and apply knowledge in real-world contexts.
A guide to using the Learning Plans is available.
